10 Q&A Working Together

Welcome to STR’s very first blog post.  We are so excited to begin our blog series and hope you find our blog informative, inspirational, and fun to read. 

As 2020 is just around the corner, we are doing 10  Q&As about our services and what it would be like to work with us.  The New Year is such an important time to set new goals, intentions, or introduce new habits into your lifestyle. 

If decluttering your space and getting organized is on your list, keep reading as these Q&As are just for you. 

  1. What is in the free consultation? 

    STR offers a one-time complimentary consultation.  During the 30-minutes visit, you will have the opportunity to tell us your organization goals, needs, style, and budget.  This is also the perfect time to decide if we are the right Professional Organizer for you. A signed service agreement is required before we start working together. 

  2. What happens after the consultation?

    If we are your perfect match, the space to be organized will be measured and we will draft a list of organization system solutions. Once a system and budget is approved, we do the shopping for you, shopping service is included in our rates. We’ll also schedule a date that is convenient for the organization project to begin.  

  3. Who should hire a Professional Organizer?

    Anyone wanting to change their current state of space.  If the clutter in your space is consuming your everyday life or if you just don’t have the time to get it all done.  Outsourcing your organizing needs to a Professional Organizer will be the best decision you will ever make, we are like your personal trainer for your house. 

  4. How many hours will it take?

    Each project and space is unique, we provide estimates on how long an organization project will take once we are able to assess the space. 

  5. What if my house is a mess?

    No worries, STR works under a very high confidential, respectful, and non-judgmental policy.  We want to see the current state of your space, which will give us a better picture of your needs and which solution systems will work for you. 

  6. How do I know which bins or containers to buy?

    We can use organizing products you may already have or we can buy the products for you.  STR will provide an organizing product list recommendations based on your budget and style.  Product reimbursement is due once the project is completed. 

  7. Do I get to decide what to get rid of?

    Of course!  You are the decision-maker on what to keep, toss, or donate.  We are here to help you make your organizing journey easy and simple.   It’s important to always keep in mind that when we surround ourselves with just the things we love, our attitude and mindset changes.  Streamlining and organizing the things you need, use, and LOVE will make the process go by very smoothly. Letting go of what is no longer serving you a purpose is liberating and essential to organize what is truly valuable. 

  8. What does your service include?

    STR is a full-service business that includes: time designing layout and organization systems, sorting, tossing, and organizing your space, arranging donations after session, shopping for supplies, and labeling systems. 

  9. Do you travel?

    Yes, STR will travel.  We serve Northern Virginia; Prince William County and surrounding areas. For projects outside our 30-mile service radius, a round-trip travel fee applies. 

  10. What happens after the organization is over? 

    Our systems are created based on your lifestyle using product organizing systems that work.  Once the organization project is completed, we will walk you through your new organized, beautiful and functional space.  We will encourage you to create new goals and habits, maintenance is key to keep an organized home.
